been taking a few little jaunts to follow the sunbeams westward before they disappear behind the mountains in my backyard. sheila (she's raging now, with her studded snow tires and new battery), turtle (visiting from atlanta) and i ventured into the canyonlands of utah last weekend down nameless BLM roads to discover glorious red rocks, cattle bones, car skeletons and windstorms. now i'm back in durango, where there's 4 inches of snow on the ground and 4 degrees Celsius in the air. brrrrr!!!
